Island Issues!

"Colleges all over Tamilnadu have been closed indefinitely".With a chief minister and a prime minister in the infirmary,I jumped to stupid conclusions.Then realised that the closure was in the wake of the sporadic student upheaval in and around TN calling for an end to the genocide of Tamil civilians in Srilanka.Let us get under the skin of the crisis:

We have an inefficient CM who writes silly poems in his mouthpiece("நெஞ்சங்கள் துடிக்கின்றன.கண்கள் பனிக்கின்றன") and hides in the hospital when he is personally called by the Srilankan president to Ground Zero.My first opinion was that Mr.Karunanidhi was a protector of the Tamil spirit all over the world.Now I,like many others,have come to know that he is a pretentious and immoral statesman.All he knows is playing diplomatic games with the ruling alliance threatening to withdraw all DMK MPs from the Lok Sabha and then coming to an understanding which an average Tamil voter can never understand!

Jayalalitha's stance may be anti-tamil but atleast she is candid and honest.There is only one politician who is sincere in his pro-LTTE policy:Vaiko and he got arrested under POTA for that.He has to learn a lesson from Karunanidhi:Praise everyone,Never support anyone!

Personal note:Closing down engineering colleges will do no good to this issue.Unlike law college students who have a basic sense of social awareness,these engineering college students have other bigger issues in their minds.("Will I get placed in a MNC?Will I get a call letter?Will TCS take people by the dozens?").Do not expect them to rise in rebellion in pity of the Tamil civilians dying in Mullaithivu.Forget a rebellion.These selfish islands cannot even symphathise with what is going on in our neighbouring island.Authorities should reopen the engineering islands immediately.They have their own battles of labs,observation and record notebooks to be won and lost.

Some of my friends still do not know why colleges are being closed down.One had a brave shot saying that all this "holiday" business was keeping in mind Karunanidhi's deteriorating health."Slumdog millionaire has something to do with this"-A son of a millionaire with slumdogs in his heart tried a stupid joke.One just now SMSed me"Has Rafa's victory played a pivotal role in this?".Meanwhile,one more Tamil civilian is being shot dead in the crossfire between the liberation tigers and Sarath Fonseka's men.Someone liberate the innocent cows please!

Karunanidhi and Tamil spirit are in ICU.Karunanidhi will be back very soon writing poems,giving interviews,threatening the government and going back to ICU under pressure.
