Random Thoughts!

* "Yuddham Sei" is yet another Mysskin film with those ubiquitous touches :Leg-focussing camera shots, characters who talk with their heads hung down, yellow saree bombshells dancing for an item number. With these trademarks and even more,Mysskin stuns us with a languidly paced crime thriller with predictable twists but satisfying nonetheless.
Unlike Maniratnam who minds his business of scriptwriting alone and leave other technicalities to the respective people (Rahman,PC Sreeram et al),every department in "Yuddham Sei" has the stamp of Mysskin. He is so indulgent that even the BGM scores in all his movies (Be it Raja or Sundar C Babu )have a commonality (especially in the stirring use of violins). For those who wonder why Myskkin left his name out in the credits,he was there everywhere else in the movie.

*Of the Pongal releases,"Aadukalam" was brilliantly scripted with Dhanush pulling off a stunner.(I cannot imagine no other hero so carelessly dancing around Simmakal or Villapuram or any other bylane of Madurai with such a precariously clad lungi. No,not even a young Kamalhassan or a young Vikram). The climax was even more refreshing.

*Harris Jeyaraj is back to typical mediocrity with "Ko",an album whose only USP is that song where Harris has the guts to use complex lines ("Yeno Kuviamilla oru kaatchi Pezhai") for a catchy and repetitive hook.

This has been a predominantly random post but similar to the 60 seconds one gets in a PCO with no more coin left and an eager girlfriend on the other side to tell a thousand things.Random thoughts is the best I could offer,as of now.
