The "Ella Pugazhum" Time!

A personal note of thanks to few people without whom Kriya would have been a dream from a distant land :
· To Dr.Arumuganathan, our Dean for having pulled us back again and again only to give the zeal to march ahead with passion. His decisions seemed to be impractical but he stood by them only for justification in hindsight. A rare person of impeccable integrity.
· To Dr.A.Sankar, our treasurer for sharing our pains and joys. Fantastic friend.
· To Mr.Karthikeyan for all his prayers from Sweden.
· To Anto Dungston Inigo (Chairman,2007-08) and Chandramouli (Man Friday ,2007-08)for having inspired us to atleast try to repeat their mindboggling 2008 act when Jimmy Wales was at Q-angle and Kriya was, well, everywhere.
· To Krishna Kumar (Chairman,2009-10) for having taught me every possible lesson in administration up close and personal.
· To Ajay Krishnan for being more interested in Kriya and Students Union than myself and for being with me in all those hopeless moments of darkness.
· To Divya S and Vimal C for making me feel “Have there been better House secretaries in the history of Students Union?”
· To Soorej ,Kasi Viswanathan , Vignesh ,Madhusri for being such efficient officebearers with a fantastic team spirit.
· To Jayaprakash for taking Kriya more seriously than himself. Have I seen anyone like Jayaprakash ?
· To Jaswant Varma for those candid moments in drunken state and his half-baked Tamil : “Unnakaga dhan macha ellame”.
· To Gopalakrishnan and Muthazhagan who made me feel why didn’t one of these two guys become the Chairman. Dedication is their middle name.
· To Shiv Kumar, whose integrity and Ravindran , whose experience came handy at the registration desk.
· To Bharathiraja,Jagadish and Mathuvanthi whose faces never revealed till the end that they were handling a tough but thankless job (Hospitality).
· To Mohana Sivam whose nuggets of experience were vital at times of immense pressure and Thomson (Vice chairman,2009-10) whose words of care served as the wake-up call to push and push harder.
· To Shanmuga Priya for being herself and doing every work (minor/major) at the ERM team.
· To Babu Abdul Khadeer and Raja Mohammed for doing 75 % of the ground work in Kriya.
· To Wasim Feroze for having the brains to go to Network Maintenance Cell and increase the bandwidth so that the Video Conference with Kubendiran (NASA) was a success.
· To Lokesh Murugesan and his team for a brilliant quiz which made V.V.Ramanan say “Brilliant quiz people!Hats off to you!”
· To Venkatesan for adding value to Kriya with a brilliantly done website.
· To Ramachandran for the poster, Santosh for the teaser ,Shyam for the main flash presentation.
· To Karthik Sababathy,a passed-out senior, who did a vinyl design at 3:30 AM in the morning after night-shift at his company when everyone else had left us in the cold and proving yet again the beauty of senior-junior relation.
· To Karnan, Aravind Lovelin, Raja Mohammed for other vital Vinyl designs.
· To Vijayaraghavan sir,Samani , Prakash ,Raghavan, Karthi , Kshira Saagar, Varshini ,Raj Kumar , Vivek ,Vinoth Kumar for being significant patrons.
· To Mahadevan ,Karthik ,Sivachidambaram, Ajith for being fantastic classmates all through.
· To all event coordinators for having patiently put up with new hurdles of red tapism and bureaucracy and pulling off a spectacle.
· To all the juniors who did what I did in my first year. I wish I were them.
· To Kshira Saagar for blogging after a long hiatus just for me (or so I felt) :One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important" - Bertrand Russell
· To Rahman and his “Dil Gira Dafatan” for being my best friend in all sleepless nights these past three months. He lost (the bigger) us an Oscar but won (the smaller) us a Kriya.
· And finally to that Astrologer whose parrot picked a card “Govinda!Govinda!” when we eagerly enquired how Kriya will come out to be.
Kriya was about organizing events, managing people and all that. But it was also about proving that astrologer wrong. We did and how.
